Music publisher Symétrie’s latest publication, 
Franz Liszt, un saltimbanque en province (Franz Liszt’s Travelling Circus Life in France) is the first volume of Perpetuum mobile, a new series of musicological writings under the direction of Professor Malou Haine.
Written by specialists of Liszt and French musical life in the 19th century, the 18 articles gathered here under the direction of Nicolas Dufetel and Malou Haine follow Liszt on his concert tours throughout France and Belgium. Repertoire, reviews, salons and music networks are studied here and give the reader vast insights on regional musical life in cities like Marseille, Lyon or Strasbourg. Several unknown documents, like a portrait of young Franz Liszt, are also included in the book.
