Symétrie has just released a book entitled Aspects de la mélodie française (Aspects of French Art Song), under the direction of Gérard Streletski.

In addition to the study of emblematic works – Charles Gounod’s Biondina, Claude Debussy’s Ariettes oubliées – and rarer sets – Gustave Charpentier’s and Georges Enesco’s art songs –, this book proposes a new lighting on the city of Lyons’ musical life at the time of the Belle Époque.
